Just before closing time, a completely bald man walks into a barber’s shop. Reflections in the window and an irritating fringe have told him, its time for a haircut.

Bastion is short film that explores the boundaries between play, imagination and sanity.

Adapted from a short prose by Simon Armitage the shards of narrative played out by two actors dance at the boundary between imagination and reality.

Images of scissors cutting close to bare skin and a playful witty language invite laughter, which echoes into dark empty spaces.

The harmless jester is perhaps not as harmless as he seems and maybe his world is more real then ours.
